We respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we are situated is the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy, consisting of Siksika Nation, Kianai Nation, Pikiaani Nation, and Blackfeet Nation of Montana. It is also part of Treaty 7, which includes the Înârhe Nakoda Nation and Tsuut’ina Nation. Finally, this land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, District #4. Their presence and cultures enrich us all. We, the students of Storefront School, wish to gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy of harmony and peaceful understanding between all Nations, the earth, and all living creatures. We aim for reconciliation by continuing to value these traditions, as we work towards a better future for all.
